Nestled in Augusta’s historic Summerville district, Mulligan’s on the Hill is more than a beautifully restored home. It’s a story of family, faith, second chances, and the belief that some of life’s greatest treasures are the ones we choose to preserve and share.

For Chris and Corey, Augusta has always been more than a place on the map. It’s where they built their lives, raised their four children, and became part of a community they deeply love.

After a career in professional baseball, Chris came to Augusta to lead the baseball program at the local university, trading his playing days for the opportunity to mentor young athletes. Corey devoted her own career to caring for others, eventually leading the university’s nursing department. Together, they built a life centered on family, service, and community.

And then came a house on a hill.

They saw something special in a historic property that needed more than a renovation. It needed someone to believe in its future.

With a second chance of their own, they poured their hearts into bringing the home back to life. What followed was a labor of love, filled with hard work, patience, faith, and a determination to honor the home’s history while creating a place where new memories could be made.

They called it Mulligan’s on the Hill.

For Chris and Corey, the name became more than a clever nod to Augusta’s most celebrated tradition. It became a reflection of their own journey and the home they were building together.

Their dedication was recognized with a 2026 Historic Preservation Award, honoring the remarkable restoration of this piece of Summerville’s history.

But ask Chris and Corey what makes the house special, and the answer isn’t found in its architecture or accolades.

It’s found in the laughter of their children, the friends gathered around the table, the conversations that stretch late into the evening, and the simple joy of making someone feel welcome.

They didn’t just restore a house. They gave it another life.

The Backyard

Beyond the porch, the grounds open into a cozy backyard where the magic of an Augusta evening comes alive. Imagine intimate acoustic performances beneath the stars, candlelit gatherings, exceptional food, and conversations that linger long after the music ends.

And when the occasion calls for something grander, the property offers the potential for celebrations of 200 or more guests, from private events and corporate hospitality to unforgettable Masters Week gatherings, subject to event capacity approvals.
